Prevent the Slam
Unlike gas springs which provide lifting force, hydraulic dampers are designed to slow down moving masses. They use oil flowing through precise orifices to create resistance.
Without dampers, heavy lids would fall dangerously fast or machines would vibrate excessively.
Damping Types:
- Extension Damping: Slows down the opening/pulling motion.
- Compression Damping: Slows down the closing/pushing motion.
- Dual Direction: Damping in both directions.
